LA BOTTEGA D'ARTE
Bed & Breakfast
in Carrara

Antichità Lattanzi "La Bottega d'Arte" is a business founded in 1925 by the grandfather of the current owner, Architect Corrado Lattanzi. Drawing from experiences in antiquities and architecture, the restoration and the design of the B&B were born. The philological reconstruction of the 3 large rooms dedicated to Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, in Neoclassical style, Elettra and Ermione, Liberty women associated with Gabriele D'Annunzio, will immerse you in the atmosphere of Carrara's history. The B&B is located on the second floor of Palazzo Lattanzi, an 19th-century building on Via Cavour, just a short distance from Piazza Alberica and the historic center. The included breakfast is served in nearby affiliated cafe. The kitchen/living room is equipped and stocked with beverages, snacks, purified water, fruit, coffee or tea, and other refreshments, all chosen to reduce the use of plastics. You can read books from the library, use antique tableware, and enjoy art and design objects that are also available for purchase. The rooms have soundproofed REI doors, oak parquet flooring, marble bathrooms, antique bathtub or shower, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and Smart TV. Two rooms have a sofa bed for an additional guest, and a crib can be added to any room. The facilities are energy efficient. The host will provide information about restaurants, shops, the surrounding area, visits to the Marble Quarries, Museums, and the excavations of Luni. By car, you can reach the B&B by taking Viale XX Settembre with paid parking in Piazza 2 Giugno or nearby free parking lots. The private garage can be used for loading and unloading. By train, you can arrive at the Avenza Railway Station and then take a bus or public transportation. Carrara is a UNESCO Creative City, and from the B&B, you can visit the surrounding area on foot, by bicycle, public transportation, or by organizing guided tours. You can reach the seaside or visit the Cinque Terre and the nearby cities of Lucca, Pisa, and Florence.
