AGRO CENTORIO
The Agriturismo "Agrocentorio" is part of a small family-run business immersed in the green Tuscan hills, surrounded by vines and olive trees, was born along the ancient road that connected Chiusi to Cortona.
The structure, partly obtained from the renovation of a large country house in brick and stone, reveals the succession of time, marked by extensions and additions, which modify the original construction dating back to before 1700.
The farmhouse "Agrocentorio" consists of three apartments "La Loggia", "Gli Archi" and "Il Giogo", as a whole can accommodate up to 18 people, with large outdoor spaces is also the ideal place for parties and ceremonies.
La Loggia is the most spacious apartment of the structure, is located on the first floor and is characterized by the magnificent loggia at its entrance, ideal to spend your meals during your stay, with impressive wooden doors that close the beautiful arched windows. Inside there are three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, the kitchen and a large dining room with fireplace for an incredible atmosphere even during your winter evenings. Inside there is the possibility to sleep also on a double sofa in the living room that allows you to stay up to a total of 8 people.
Gli Archi is the apartment on the ground floor of the structure, is definitely the most characteristic, in fact, accompanied by beautiful arches typical of Tuscan farmhouses, allows you to fully experience the rural reality of the area. It also has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and the kitchen with living room and sofa bed that can accommodate up to 8 people.
The Game is instead the ideal apartment for couples, in fact it remains detached from the main structure, offering privacy and comfort. It consists of a double bedroom, bathroom and living room with kitchen, where there is also a sofa bed perfect for two children. This apartment can accommodate up to 4 people.
Outside there are large green and shady areas, equipped with gazebo, table tennis table, swimming pool of 6mt for 12mt, wood oven and barbecue characterize this farm and reflect the respect and love of the owners for plants and nature in general.
In ancient times the village was a Roman camp and from this derives its name (from the Latin Centuria, then became, in the high-medieval period, Centorio). Its position, close to three administrative borders, is relatively higher than the surrounding countryside (mt. 324 a.s.l.), it is not by chance that it is also a magnificent observation point, which allows you to enjoy in a 360-degree tour, the fading of the three different types of landscapes on top of each other.
A tour from North to West takes you from the splendid panorama of Cortona, through the hills of Cortona, to Lake Trasimeno with its islands, and then, in a southerly, south-easterly direction, the first hills of Siena with, in the background of Montepulciano, the Amiata and Cetona mountains and the fortress of Radicofani.
The agritourism "Agrocentorio" can satisfy any kind of holiday you have planned.
It allows those escaping from the cities, with the swimming pool in the structure and the kitchens inside the apartments, to spend a relaxing time immersed in nature and silence.
It allows those who have planned a cultural holiday to visit all the most famous villages in central Italy, with an endless list that goes from the small towns overlooking the lake, to the most famous Assisi, Perugia, Norcia and Gubbio, and then ranging between the provinces of Siena and Arezzo in the lands of wine with Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino and San Gimignano. Rome and Florence are also easily reachable by car and train in less than 2 hours.
For the more sporty ones we suggest to take the two E-Bikes, or the other mountain-bikes present in the structure, and explore the surrounding countryside. There is also the possibility of having trekking guides or horseback riding with affiliated associations. We also organize with specialists in the field Yoga and massage sessions, tours of tasting of typical products, wines and cooking classes.
