The apartments of the Virtù Nascoste are 4 and have different names: the Virtues, the Cagliostro's Cave, Count Ugolino, Callot House.
All apartments are equipped with kitchenette, private bathrooms for each room, air conditioning.
Il Conte Ugolino (Count Ugolino) is an apartment with 2 bedrooms, a living room with a chimney and a kitchen.
An apartment celebrating the “Pisanity” could not be missing in Pisa. And who else besides Count Ugolino, mentionned in Dante’s Divine Comedy, could represent it?
On the chimney, the epic fresco of the battle of Meloria is painted on a fan. Left, a painting from the 17th century, depicts Ugolino with a sun tanned skin during thousands of battles. The walls of the living room are covered with the coat of arms of aristocratic Houses from Pisa and of the Gherardesca House.
in the bookshelves of the living room, a collection of books about Pisa, its medieval life, the knights of Santo Stefano, and about the Gioco del Ponte is available. Engravings of Pisan monuments from the 19th century by del Grassi decorate the walls: the one of Luminaria di San Ranieri is particularly rare as well as the watercolours of the Piazza dei Miracoli, painted by the miniaturist of the English Royal Family.
In the corridor to the bedrooms, the antique doors of which have carvings, you can see a satirical watercolours from 1926 made by the illustrator of the university journal “Il campano”, immortalize a former fascist leader, riding ahead the church of San Francesco.
In the bedroom “Gioco del Ponte”, a double bed with a headboard from the Marcello family which came from Veneto, is present as well as their coat of arms. The tiles in the shower of the bathroom represents the participants of the Gioco del Ponte.
The bedroom “Dame e Cavalieri” (Ladies and Knights) has a bathroom; its door is likely to come from the Solari Cardinal.
