The visitor will find all the medieval towns still intact. While visiting the North Maremma region the visitor will encounter Etruscan and Roman roads, castles, palaces and Roman ruins. The North Maremma region has many natural parks that are worth visiting. Many of these are mineral parks, as this was the first region in Italy (pre Roman) to mine iron.
