The farmhouse "IL MELO" is located in the middle of the Lunigiana's hills, at S.Terenzo Monti, along the road wich leads Fosdinovo. The agricultural company is ubicated on a hilly territory of about 7 hectares. The biggest part of this territory is dedicated to apples, and especially to the cultivation of the apple-type “Mela Rotella della Lunigiana”, a delicious and appreciated apple, which is a typical product of the zone and Toscany.
The Agriturismo consists of three double-rooms, each of them with its own bathroom, and it is connected to the main-building. The close connection with the main-building represents our philosophy 'our guests should feel like home, or like a part of our family'. The guests can make use of a large terrace where they can have a sun-bath. From here they can observe the whole orchard, and enjoy a charming view over the hills of the surroundings. Moreover, the guests have at their disposal a dining, reading room, a patio, a small private forest, and mountain bikes for excursions in the surroundings. Small pets are welcomed, but they have to live together with our three cats. The plentiful breakfast is served in the dining room; the dinner is served or in the dining room or in the patio (depending on the season). The kitchen is homemade and simple, and it is based on products of our zone, like e.g. herb pies, lasagne with a special flour, ravioli with nettles, rabbit, duck, a sweet with chestnuts, rice pie, sweet with apples ('mele rotelle').the 'Lucido-Valley' with the thermal baths of Equi (15 km), where you should have a look at the wonderful cave “la Buca”; villages from the Middle Ages like Filetto, Bagnone, Fivizzano, and the Romanesque Parish Churches of Sorano, Offiano, Pognana, and Codiponte (15 km); the beaches of the Versilia with Pietrasanta (40 km); And then the sand beaches of the Apuanian coast (20 km); the Poets' Gulf (20 km) with the villages of Lerici and Tellaro, and the promontory of Monte Marcello; the Cinque Terre (between 30km and 50 km), which can be easily reached with the train; Sarzana (15 km), a small and very beautiful village where an important market for antique furniture is organized; the art towns Pisa and Lucca (80 km), Parma and Genoa (100 km) and Florence (200 km).
