Description Tenuta Cantagallo, belonging to our family since 1970, extends for 500 a. in the heart of Montalbano, green hilly area between Florence and Pisa, and it's still a family run farm; in fact all the members of the family live and work here and are happy to give the opportunity to special guests to experience the country life in its recently restored farmhouse dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. The farmhouse lies in a panoramic location on the top of a hill, hence the name “Tenuta Cantagallo”, the place where the rooster sees the dawn and sings to the new day. From the yard in front of the farmhouse you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding lush woods interrupted by olive yards and rows of vines recalling paintings of Renaissance. The farmhouse secluded location is ideal for those who like relax, while the proximity with historical towns like Vinci, hometown of Leonardo, or cities like Florence,  Pisa and Siena is ideal for those who prefer the historical, cultural and artistic aspects of Tuscan life and craft works In the pergola with barbecue located in the yard opposite the farmhouse you can share a nice evening with the other guests, drinking a good glass of wine, or you can wait for a suggestive sunset, enjoying the breathtaking landscape over the ancient castles and towns of Capraia and Montelupo Fiorentino, renowned for the artistic ceramic production since the Middle Ages.   ATTENTION PLEASE: Check-in: 15.00 – 19:00. Arrivals after 8:00 pm :we will give assistance to our guest by phone in order that they could easily reach the apartment ( only for delays communicated in advance)           APARTMENTS Inside the farmhouse, restored respecting original Tuscan style and building materials, there are 8 apartments (2-4-8 beds) with wooden ceilings, fireplace and floors with “cotto”, pleasantly furnished and provided with all comforts (telephone, TV, heating). The ground floor apartments are provided with private entrance and the first floor apartments dispose of a common entrance two by two. All the apartments disposes of a private, furnished court- yard located in the main garden or in the panoramic terraces of the farmhouse. The apartments ORTO, LAVANDA, ROSMARINO and VIGNETO are on the ground floor and provided with a private furnished yard; the apartments PAPAVERO, OLIVETO, BOSCO and GINESTRA are located on the first floor, where guests can enjoy a wonderful view over the surrounding vineyards and woods. Osteria Km 0 Our estate disposes of a comfortable restaurant where our guests can taste our DOCG and IGT wines and enjoy exclusive typical Tuscan dishes realized with our products or with genuine ingredients of the surrounding farmhouses. Homemade cakes, biscuits and some "pasta" dishes Special Menu for our guests: € 20/person ( 2 courses )       MULTIFUNCTIONAL ROOM Tenuta Cantagallo organize, on request, meeting, private lunch/dinner, parties in an ancient hayloft restored respecting the original rural style and offers hospitality in our suggestive farmhouse. The ancient hayloft is furnished with Adsl WiFI, mobile leafs blackboard, overhead projector, sliding projector, wireless microphone, photocopying machine, DVD player, Fax, TV, video recorder. During our coffee break, prepared with our food specialties, you can spend a relaxing moment enjoying a breathtaking landscape over vineyards and olive-yards TOUR & TASTING In our Estate Tenuta Cantagallo and in our Estate Tenuta Le Farnete, we organize, on request, for our farmhouse guests and for individuals or bus-tour groups, tours of the cellars and the vineyards with explanation of the cultivation methods, followed by a guided tasting. In our farmhouse you can taste two different DOCG wines, extra-virgin olive oil, the food specialties of the farmhouse and a choice of typical Tuscan cured meat and cheese. The guarantee of an elevated gastronomical quality in our homemade food specialties is expressed in our selection of vegetables, cultivated directly in our farmhouse, and in using exclusively our extra-virgin olive oil. we made a choice to use the pasteurization as preserving method in order to maintain unaltered the organoleptic qualities of our food specialties in the following two years after the production.. Arrivals must be between 15:00 and 19:00. Rooms must be left at least at 9:00. Weekly stays go from Saturday to Saturday. We require the cleaning of the provided kitchen utensils before leaving the apartment   :: Cancellation Policy Cancellations from reservation to 30 days before arrival we apply a penalty of 30% of the total price. Cancellations from 29 days to 1 day before arrival we apply a penalty of 70% of the total price. Cancellations from 0 dd on arrival to 0 dd on arrival ( no show) or in case of early departure we apply a penalty of 100% of the total price.
